Loved working this puzzle. Pieces fit tightly which means the completed is puzzle looks great. One drawback is some pieces have a very small extension where the photo top peeled up. I did need to glue these pieces to protect them from further damage. Also the puzzle pieces were not bagged in the box.

2025 was an extremely dry year for Southern California, especially its desert regions. One of the few significant rains began in March so I decided to visit.
Exploring Yaqui Pass Road near Borrego Springs I found a parched environment. Creosote and brittlebush shrubs which had fully bloomed atop lush foliage last year were entirely withered -- their mass of dry leaves comprising a speckled, brown haze at the base of distant mountains.
I did find these three ocotillos in bloom, however -- red flowers lighting the tips of curving, skeletal arms. I caught them as a rainbow formed beneath approaching clouds.
My first taste of photography was (seemingly ages ago) while taking an intro to photography course. There we learned the basics of shooting, darkroom development, and print with film. In following years I carried my Cannon AE-1 all over the world taking pictures for fun and memories. Upon an introduction to DSLRs, my devotion to photography exploded given the new possibilities I found for manipulating and personalizing images. What feeds this passion is the emotive capacity of art – its ability to evoke strong reactions from viewers. I could spend hours sifting through and losing myself in the work of Eugene Atget or Michael Kenna.
