Guy Crittenden grew up fishing and hunting on the Chesapeake Bay in Gloucester, Virginia. He raised waterfowl at his childhood home on the shores of the Ware River, crabbed in the shallows along the tidal sandbars, and learned about wildlife and the ways of watermen from his grandfather. Guy began to draw and paint as a teenager and it was no surprise that his favorite subject matter was the native wildlife and nature he experienced in his boundless backyard.
