Post Framed Or Image Only On Facebook?

Friends:

In my days running my B&M gallery, the adage that always held true was that Framed Art sold Unframed Art. It addressed the fact that many people cannot visualize how a piece might look once completed with a frame.

I am interested in the opinions on what works better for attracting interest from potential buyers.

Here is a simple side by side example:

What say ye?

Many Thanks!

Kenneth

On Facebook I post the image with a link, but can post anyway you like. Don't know that it makes a difference

I usually post a link from here. The places I send it too, it would look like spam. And I think with a sample picture like that, they will think the entire room is the image you are selling. The actual image is too small. I try not to make my life harder than I need to. If they don't get it, then oh well. Many do click on it to see it larger, and then they are in the store.

I kind of do some of both. I think framed and in a room helps people visualize what it's potential is.

Rebecca: Thank you! I think I'll compromise and show the framed version on its own, but without the room or furniture which does make the art part of the image too small. Here's an example post on my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/klsgallery

Be careful posting framed.

People get that frame in their mind and then go to FAA and try and buy it and it is out of stock.

I am working trying to save a sale where I posted a framed FAA piece on eBay and it sold. I went to order the piece and the frame is no longer available.
