Deceptive Shipping Deadlines - Do Not Use This Company!

When placing the order the online system advised shipping on 2 - 3 days, after calling to verify the ship time the customer service rep. verified the day of order is counted as one day and the order would ship on the 3rd day (today, 9/23/22). After viewing my order today, 9/23/22 the online order now states the order will not ship until 9/30/22.

The company is very deceptive on their lead shipping times. i personally will never do business with them again and will be sure to tell friends, family and business acquaintances to not order from Fine Art America as well.

Hi Jeremy,

In order to find out why shipping has been delayed you will need to contact Customer Service

https://fineartamerica.com/contactus.html?tab=contactus

I do not know what you ordered - but there may be a backorder on frames or matts or other merchandise.

I have personally ordered many prints and merchandise and have found no issues.

I have never been disappointed with Fine Art America.

I do a fair amount of drop shipping from FAA and while I have had the occasional problem with late shipping, it happens pretty rarely. That being said, the ship date displayed in your order is USUALLY later than it will actually ship. I understand that this may not be good enough when you were assured shipment today, but I wanted to let you know it's probably not going to take as long as it says it will.

whatever you order is made to order, so some orders are fulfilled faster than others, never had an issue

Most of my orders for Etsy ship super fast...but once in awhile there is a delay. No business is perfect. If that is a standard, you will always be unhappy. I will continue to use FAA to drop ship to my customers.

Never had any issue with shipping delays.
I'm proudly recommending FAA to my artist friends.

After using FAA for hundreds of orders for my Etsy shop, I can only think of a couple of times when shipments were delayed and that was due to labs shutting because of the pandemic.

Otherwise, no problems whatsoever.

I'm hoping you reconsider your decision, Jeremy. I assume that the shipping date was pretty important if you have such a strong reaction...sorry if that's the case.

I've had no shipping problems either, not for me personally, or people who have purchased my photographs. The only exception was when masks were first offered early in the pandemic when demand was much greater than expected. That all got sorted out, though.

Hi Geremy, I'm very sorry for your disappointment! There must be a reason for the delay that probably Customer care can explain.

All the artists here would be very grateful for your patience and understanding!

And I hope you will like so much your purchase that you will maybe forget about this issue!

Thank you!

I have had several delays in shipping to the point that I had to stop using pxcanvasprints.com to fill orders sold on eBay and other outlets.

However, I don't blame the company as much as I blame the state of affairs in the country right now with difficulties of finding people that want to work and supply channel delays and breakdowns that everyone seems to be experiencing.

This seems to be the new normal, sad to say. In other words just part of doing business as a seller or buyer.

From the email sent to you

"I'm sorry for our delay in printing and shipping your order. We've been overwhelmed (and grateful) with 5x normal order volumes over the last few weeks. We weren't able to ramp up our production or customer care staffing and supply chain to accommodate this flood of orders.

The situation, backlog, and production times change daily. We're working to update our site with accurate production times and get your order sent out as quickly as possible. In general, orders are taking 7-14 business days (from order date) to produce, but we’re doing our best to have your order shipped out this week until early next week."

Our production team has been working non stop to get these orders out. The orders are moving as fast as they can move them

We are very sorry for delays

It would be great if the artists were notified of this so those who drop ship are given a head's up. Such a simple thing to do that would be useful to so many, and potentially save otherwise lost sales.

You really need to give Fine Art America another chance here. NONE of my customers have ever had any complaints about shipping, nor anything else for that matter. There are always glitches with no matter who you buy things from once in awhile. Hope you give this site a second chance.

If you haven't noticed, every sector, every industry everywhere has gone wonky. Jobs ARE NOT being filled, industry is suffering. Including shipping, printing and beyond.

Relax. It's going to get worse.

I, too, as an artist, ordered a few of my own greeting cards (same image) so I could send as a birthday card to a friend for her birthday on 09-26. I ordered in plenty of time to send to her, but have not yet received the card so it is useless to me now. (09-24-2022) Very disappointed. I did contact FAA and received a notice of a ticket # but haven't checked my email today.

In the past 2 years, I have waited as long as 6 months for orders from my usual suppliers. By now we know that even the most reliable companies are not immune to sudden shortages of employees or supplies. I think you are overreacting a bit. Overseas suppliers are as much as 6 months behind. The ports are backlogged for weeks or months. Anywhere in the chain there can be an illness breakout and in Asia there are still lockdowns. And in restaurants often the menus are not reflecting the correct prices.

This is how things are everywhere.

What Dan said.

I also agree with Susan; a heads-up would be nice. I finally just dropped FAA as a supplier. Not for the delay as much as for ignoring my request for updates.

I guess this sounds bit like a complaint. It isn't intended to be a complaint but just informative. I think sellers need to know what their marketplace is like and what's happening in the way of fulfillment.
