I love the wolf. Because it represents the Gaurdian of all the land on the Earth. It also has the highest quality of life, freedom and the love from it's pack and family.

I am in a bit a quandary regarding this order. I have not received it. The UPS tracking shows it coming to Canada then going to California. I have not been able to contact UPS as they only seem to want to hear from US addresses. Fine Art America has not been of any assistance in getting me connected with my order. As a result of this experience, I do not plan on ordering anything more from this supplier. Too bad, there are a lot of nice things on their website. If this matter gets sorted out, I will update this review. Update: my order eventually arrived and I am quite happy with it.

I probably will NOT purchase from this site again. The quality of the puzzle was just okay, for example there were many pieces where the backing was delaminating. (See 2 photos) Additionally, the size was advertised as 20" x 28". The finished puzzle size was actually 19-5/8" x 26-1/8". I feel that skimping on the size resulted in the face of the bottom kitty being half obscured when framed. This is the most I've ever paid for a puzzle that I expected to be perfect. (I could only select 1 photo. Please email me if you want photos of puzzle pieces delaminating.)

I haven't done the puzzle yet but I was very pleased with the speed it was sent. The puzzle itself is brilliant I only wish I were able to find Linda Carruth's puzzles in England

Artist's Description

Capt. Don S. Gentile started his combat career with two victores over Dieppe flying Spitfires as an American volunteer with the Royal Air Force's 133 "Eagle" Squadron in 1942. Transferring to the US Army Air Forces with the rest of the Eagles in September, the Piqua, Ohio native flew Thunderbolts and Mustangs for the next year and a half with the 8th Air Force's 4th Fighter Group based at Debden, Essex. Don finished his combat career in April 1944 as the 4th's top ace, with 19.833 aerial victories with the group (21.833 total), plus 3 damaged, a title he holds to this day.

He died in January 1951 in an accident while flying a T-33 near Forestville, Maryland. One of Don's three sons followed in his father's footsteps and became an Air Force fighter pilot and instructor in the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

After high school, he earned a B.A. in History from Louisiana State University in Shreveport while serving in the US Air Force Reserve at Barksdale Air Force Base. With marriage came a move to the beautiful Birmingham, Alabama area. Diving in head first, Wade quit his job at an aviation museum in 2003 and began to work full-time as an aviation artist. He started accepting commissions immediately, and to this day his work is primarily commission-driven. Along with his...
