"je Ne Sais Quoi" Appeal

As Digital Art progresses, with it's now inconceivably PERFECT images..

Do you think that.....

The "JE NE SAIS QUOI " quality of actual handmade digital images can still have an appeal?

Absolutely! It's the quirky little pieces of individualism that usually attract me the most.

I much prefer handmade digital! To me they are much more appeal than the alternative.

Perfection never looks natural.
It's the artifact, the imperfections that makes something looks more alive.

I always prefer the distinctive touch of the artist's hand.

Exactly, Sv Bell, they look artificial.

I made many just to play with different apps, but I just don't feel like uploading them to my FAA galleries, because I they don't look right to me :)

Plastic 'perfect' images are not terribly attractive in my book. I see adverts on FB every day for software that replaces real skies (for example) with spectacular sunset skies, and for me the original real images almost always are more appealing.

Actually, I think there is a " Je ne sai quoi" in every genre and all forms of art, be it images on canvas, real paintings, music, sculptures, movies, jewelry, just everything art.

Yes, even digital and AI art are inspirational.

Sometimes, one can't say why they were moved, inspired and taken over by a work, but it happens.

Not every work, however, is going to make this grade. Not every artist is going to knock the ball out of the park with their ideas and concepts. Sometimes a person is able to connect with people via their art, but it's not always within an artist's life that their work is captivating to others.

"I don't know what" it is about that work that I love so much! I've had that feeling about music and art all my life.
